Industrial Action – 26th March

As you are aware, due to industrial action that is taking place on Tuesday 26th March 2019, Hautlieu School will be closed to students.

However, should the current situation change we will let you know as soon as possible.

We fully appreciate that this is a very important time and we would like to remind students that the following exams are taking place:

Year 11 – 1st April Maths Mock Exam

2nd April English Mock Exam

We would strongly recommend that students spend this period of time focusing on their revision for their pending examinations.  Most students would have attended the Elevate sessions on highly effective revision techniques.  We will be emailing students links and passwords to the Elevate revision and support site to access on this day.

Year 10 students should also be using Elevate in conjunction with subject specific websites such as MyMaths, Tassomai and GCSE Bitesize to complete subject revision.

Triple P (Positive Parenting Programme) Event – Wed 26th September

Triple P (Positive Parenting Programme) is a programme that makes raising children and teenagers easier. It gives you, as parents and carers, ideas to help deal with the big and small problems of family life.

There are two distinct programmes, one for under 12s and one for over 12s and Hautlieu School is running the over 12s teenager programme.

Triple P Positive Parenting helps you:

  • Raise happy, confident teenagers
  • Manage behaviour in a positive way
  • Set family rules and routines that everyone follows
  • Get along better with your teenagers
  • Balance work and family without stress

Triple P does not tell you how to be a parent. It gives you a range of simple strategies and you choose the ones that fit your family.

All parents are welcome to attend the seminar on Wednesday 26th September at 6.30pm and listen and learn and following this we will be hosting discussion groups and support groups as appropriate.
