The money allocated to schools is to be used to ensure that all students have an equal opportunity to access the full curriculum, receive high-quality teaching and perform to the very best of their ability. Hautlieu School attracts capable students from a range of socio-economic groups and is committed to ensuring that no student is disadvantaged in their learning by their background. For more details you can read the rest of our policy here.

Every year we evaluate how our strategies and expenditure in line with CYPES guidelines on Jersey Premium, and our staff regularly attend new and update training on the latest developments and sharing good practice. Our 2022 evaluation can be found above.

As a result of this evaluation, we plan how we are going to allocate resources to best support our students with the philosophy of excellent first teaching for all at the forefront of our thinking. Our current curriculum drive is on developing a metacognitive approach to all learning, equipping all our students with the learning dispositions that will help them to achieve success here at Hautlieu and throughout life.
