Y12 Skills Jersey competition: you have the opportunity, in your mentor group, to design your own campaigns or eco projects to tackle an important environmental issue, i.e. saving the pollinators.

Y13s are leading a fundraising day in aid of Shop Mobility Jersey, who provide scooters and chairs for the disabled, and Team trees, who aim to plant 20,000,000 trees globally by 20. Join in on 06/12/19 by paying £1 for non-school uniform, and bringing in donations for a cake sale, reduced mobility obstacle course, 5-a-side football, and karaoke.

Year 10 students to represent member states in debating the Israel Palestine conflict, in a mock UN meeting chaired by IB students. 06/12/19

Mr McSherry is launching a debate society, 06/12/19, where students in Year 11 will have a chance to prepare for a debate in assembly on banning petrol cars, and Year 12/13 will prepare for a debate on improving trade relations with the EU over the UK. All students will be able to get involved by preparing audience questions in mentor time.

Starting January 2020, IB personal projects for CAS will be linked with the global goals (see video below). Students will campaign or provide their service to a cause of their choice.

Mourant Psychology essay competition launches 01/06/20. Students at Hautlieu, De la Salle, Victoria College, JCG, and Beaulieu enter their essays on mental health, judged by prominent Psychologists in the Prison services and Educational Psychology, as well as a Senior Adviser from the Education Department.

Hautlieu students at the 2019 awards for the Mourant essay competition. Students were awarded £200 + £350 bursary, to fund university visits, for 1st prize, £150 for second prize, and £100 for 3rd prize.
