Student Participation

Y12 Skills Jersey competition: you have the opportunity, in your mentor group, to design your own campaigns or eco projects to tackle an important environmental issue, i.e. saving the pollinators.

Starting January 2020, IB personal projects for CAS will be linked with the global goals (see video below). Students will campaign or provide their service to a cause of their choice.

06/03/20 To celebrate International Women’s Day, the police are inviting upper school girls to visit Police Headquarters. The States is aware that women are unrepresented in the profession, and want students to meet with a panel of women working for the Police department, as well as giving them a rare opportunity of a behind-the-scenes tour of law enforcement.

13/03/20 Student teams participate in the Swimarathon to raise money for Brighter Futures, Brightly, Jersey Youth Trust, Teenage Cancer trust, and YouMatter. See some of these charities amazing work below.

19/03/20 HE fair at Fort Regent. Students will be bused to the venue to meet with HE providers and gather more information about the courses they want to pursue.

Mourant Psychology essay competition launches 01/06/20. Students at Hautlieu, De la Salle, Victoria College, JCG, and Beaulieu enter their essays on mental health, judged by prominent Psychologists in the Prison services and Educational Psychology, as well as a Senior Adviser from the Education Department.
