Kornati national park:
We started our day by traversing the sea, bearing witness to Kornati national park. There were 2 pit stops displaying vastly different environments. One barren of human settlements while the other brimmed with life. Despite it being promoted as an area that is untouched, the barren island has become a hotspot for tourists to gather- portraying how a preserved and remote island can still feel the effects of tourism. However, I was glad to see that it was looked after and very few pieces of litter were discovered.
Sea organ:
Listening to the sea organ in Croatia was an otherworldly experience. As we sat by the water’s edge, the waves gently lapped against the marble steps creating haunting, melodic sounds.
The sea itself seemed to breathe through the organ. By focusing on my senses, i managed to drown out the idle chatter from the world around. It was as if each note was shaped by the movement of the water-as if the ocean were composing a symphony, creating music that was both calming and mysterious.
Surrounded by the beauty of the Adriatic, I found myself mesmerized by the rhythm of the sea’s song. It was a rare reminder of nature’s ability to harmoniously coexist with humanity to create something magical.
Dinner amongst friends in Zadar:
Sharing a joyous dinner with my fellow students and teachers was an experience I’ll never forget. The room buzzed with laughter and conversation, creating a sense of camaraderie that made everything feel special. We reminisced about the challenges we’d faced and overcame, celebrating our accomplishments through awards appointed by teachers.
This meal was the embodiment of the celebration of our shared journey. Before concluding the evening, we managed to arrange a surprise birthday for our dear classmate Adam, and safe to say everything went off without a hitch.
By the end of the evening, I felt a deeper connection to the people around me- for we have been united by the support we found in each other.
