Today we travelled from our hotel in Punat, on the island of Krk, to our new hotel further south in the town of Biograd na Moru.
We prepared for the bus journey to be long and tedious, so Miss Holland was kind enough to come up with a game for everyone – numberplate bingo (each of us given a numberplate nationality to spot on the journey). Unfortunately, some members didn’t seem to appreciate the game as much as others – but at least everyone (if they were awake) appreciated the views out of the window.
On the way we stopped at Plitvice lakes, observing the waterfalls throughout the national park – whilst trying to wade through the hoards of fellow tourists. Of course, we took many photo stops and became the annoying tourists we tried to avoid – at least the photos that came of it were worth it. After walking through and appreciating the park, we arrived at a boat that would take us on a slow journey on the lake, appreciating the same views from a different perspective
The second leg of the bus journey from the park to the hotel I cannot comment much on unfortunately, as I had dozed off.
After arriving at the hotel, settling in (some of us going for a swim in the indoor pool), and enjoying our buffet dinner, we went on a walk through the town – led by Sammy – ending with some high quality ice cream.
