Reporting and Parent Platforms

Go4Schools and Satchel:One

At Hautlieu, we value strong partnerships between school and home. Our reporting process and use of Go4Schools help parents and carers stay informed and engaged in their child’s learning journey. Working together ensures every student is supported to reach their full potential.

Our assessment and reporting process aims to:

  • Support students to achieve success in their GCSE examinations
  • Develop effective study habits
  • Use feedback to guide teaching and targeted intervention
  • Promote student ownership of learning and parent/carer understanding of progress and predicted attainment
  • Monitor progress effectively to ensure every student is supported to reach their potential

Reporting Terms

Each student receives two interim reports during the year and a full report in the Summer Term. Reports include:

  • Target Grade – a fixed, aspirational grade to achieve at the end of the GCSE / A Level course, based on prior attainment and teacher assessments. Targets are specific to each student and each subject and will be shared in the Autumn interim report.
  • Current Grade – the grade each student is working at now, based on assessments completed under exam conditions.
  • Predicted Grade – the grade your son/daughter is most likely to achieve at the end of their GCSEs, based on their Current Grade, motivation, effort, and other contributing factors.

To give students and parent/carers a holistic insight into the learning behaviours of their son/daughter, each report will breakdown the attributes for successful learning.

  • Work in class – participation and production of work
  • Work out of class – proactive approach to independent study
  • Behaviour for learning – respectful interactions with peers and staff to create a positive learning environment
  • Organisation – preparedness and punctuality for learning

Go4Schools

We use Go4Schools to share information on attendance, subject progress, and reports. Parents will be notified when access is available for the new academic year this half-term.

Go4Schools is a transparent and accessible online platform that provides direct access to up-to-date information about your child’s education. Go4Schools will allow parents and students to:

  • Track Attendance – View overall attendance as well as attendance to individual lessons,
  • View Reports – Access interim and full reports as they are published throughout the year, and
  • Monitor Progress – Explore detailed information about progress in each subject, providing an understanding of what learning has taken place.

Go4Schools helps families have meaningful conversations about progress and supports students in taking ownership of their learning. The platform will continue to be developed throughout the year to enhance communication and transparency.

We also want students to use the platform regularly so that they can take ownership of their learning, understand exactly where they are, and recognise what they need to do to reach their potential with the support and guidance of their teachers.

The linked Go4Schools Parent Leaflet provides guidance on how to login as a first-time or existing user and offers a summary of how to access your son/daughter’s attendance, progress, and reports.

FAQ:

Can parents and students use the mobile application?

No – please use a web browser, we are not using the mobile application at this time.

Under attendance, what does “unknown” category mean?

“Unknown” is recorded when a student from KS5 is not in school and we have not had any contact from a parent/carer to inform us of this and therefore we cannot record the absence as authorised or unauthorised.

Satchel:One

Homework is set via Satchel:One, which students should check daily to stay up to date and access resources that support independent study. More information can be found here: Satchel One. Parents are encouraged to access Satchel:One to promote positive study habits at home.
