In 2024 we will be launching the GCSE Home Language
pilot course for Multilingual Learners (MLLs). The GCSE
Home Language will be chosen as an optional GCSE
subject, either alongside or instead of another language
offered (Spanish, French or Mandarin). Students will
receive teaching and guidance on how to develop their
language proficiency in their Home Language and
succeed in the exams, but students will take a much
more independent approach to language learning.
