Summer Concert in Memory of Dr McKinlay

In 2011 Dr Michael McKinlay started an annual event here at Hautlieu that has continued to this day. 2026 will be the 15 year anniversary of the Hautlieu Summer Concert and in memory of Mike we are hoping to organise a one off special concert where we invite back former students from the 25 years he taught here. We’re calling it Hautlieu Summer Concert – Greatest Hits and we’re hoping as many former Hautlieu students as possible will get involved in either performing, running the tech for the event or simply attending as an audience member. It will be an opportunity to celebrate Mike, his contribution to the school and all the students he crossed paths with over his 25 years here.

Mike always insisted on presenting the Summer Concerts as, in his words, “An Evening of Sound, Movement & Light” to include any students whether it be a musical performance, a dance piece, a video or even a light show!
